The Alpha Guide review

“Matzourana” is located away from the bustling port and narrow streets of the town, just outside Naoussa. In winter it serves in its elegant small dining hall; in summer on a veranda with a view. The menu plays between the Greek and the Mediterranean cuisine. The list is short and focuses on meat. The raw materials are from Paros, and many of them are sourced from the family’s farms. The most interesting dishes are the liver with jam, onion, raisins and treacle; the fried potatoes with a fried egg and feta cheese sauce; and the veal that is cooked with wine and onions and served with mashed potatoes. The service is simple and relaxed.
