Identified for years now with high-level service, the “Garden Cafe” sets its tables in the blossoming garden of the imposing “Grande Albergo delle Rose” Hotel, in a unique city location, by the sea. A considerable part of the menu is occupied by pizzas made by a professional pizzaiolo from Naples and baked in a traditional Italian oven. The international dimension of the menu created by Chef Andrea Salomachin is boosted with dishes from the French and the Mediterranean cuisine, in general, and some creative touches inspired by Asian products and techniques. The sweet finale comes with a minimalist mille-feuille and an apple pie with cinnamon ice cream.

Identified for years now with high-level service and creative Mediterranean dishes, the “Garden Cafe” in the lush garden of the “Grande Albergo delle Rose” hotel is a gastronomic hotspot of Rhodes with a long history. Demanding old and new customers choose it for a meal of high pretensions in a unique city location, with breathtaking sea views and intense historical aura, just a breath away from the island’s iconic hotel. It opens at noon, with suggestions for a light meal whereas the renewed menu puts emphasis on original Greek and Mediterranean dishes made by the restaurant’s award-winning chef: marsala beef, pork provence, fresh salmon fillet with a spicy crust, tender black cod fillet marinated in sake and miso, mushrooms alla Bianca and Santorini’s fava topped with grilled octopus. Original and tasty pizzas come out from the authentic traditional Italian oven at noon and in the evening, such as the “Genovese Ortolana” with mozzarella, peppers, aubergine and courgette, the “Sardegna Quattro Formaggi” with gorgonzola, mozzarella, provolone, fontina and parmesan, the “Milanese Quattro Stagioni” with prosciutto cotto and salami and the “Pantelleria Norvegese” with smoked salmon and onion.If, again, you want something refreshing after taking a swim, go for the “Beer Time” offer (4 p.m. - 7 p.m.) and enjoy a hearty platter of assorted cold cuts and cheeses for 2 people that is accompanied by a glass of frozen beer for each person.
