Vana Vrettou and Sifis Karadakis brought the successful concept of the “Magikes Katsaroles” – namely, the enchanted pans – from Athens to Antiparos, creating a modern Cycladic bistro that offers a contemporary Greek cuisine full of inspiration with Aegean colour. The premium quality products of the Cyclades dominate and highlight flavours in dishes such as the rustic-style spaghetti with meat from locally bred goat kids, a different version of okra (breaded, with tomato tartare and feta mousse), and sardines wrapped in vine leaves. They also take a fresh look at some traditional recipes, such as the octopus “savoro” with treacle and fava beans. The burger made with meat from Naxos, and the brunch that includes original versions of the “ladenia” pie that comes from the island of Kimolos, moussaka a la Croque Madame & Monsieur and Syros-style omelet. It serves on a cheerful terrace and the pedestrian walkway. Customers are advised to make a reservation.
