It's not easy to find the taverna of Kostas Vassiliadis, since he doesn’t want to place even a sign. It is the culinary surprise in the area, though. His wife, Maria Karga, cooks Greek cuisine in her “tweaked” way: moussaka with local greens, sweet “imam baildi” (stuffed eggplants) with peppers and olives, vergadi (goat kid) in the roaster, scrambled eggs with salted meat and excellent bread with yeast. You must definitely try the lightly fired and crispy turnovers.
