Alpha Guide's evaluation
The newest hotel of the Electra Hotels & Resorts group opened in September 2016. It stretches across the block once occupied by the Ministry of Education. It is bright and luxurious and follows a retro chic decorative line, which is felt both in the impressive lobby and the inner patio with the urban atmosphere. The rooms of different types are decorated in a modern style and combine coziness and luxurious ambiance with state-of-the-art hi-tech amenities. The suites afford views of the Acropolis. There is a large and fully equipped wellness area created in cooperation with Aegeo Spas. The two restaurants that operate under the supervision of chef Dimitris Boutsalis are open to outside guests as well: the “Library” on the ground floor, and the “Metropolis Roof Garden” on the 10th floor of the hotel, which offers unobstructed 360o views of the historic center of Athens.
