Alpha Guide's evaluation
The thorough renovation by the Domotel group of a historic hotel in the northern suburbs of Athens maintained the building’s charming exterior and the lovely gardens intact, giving a modern character to the interior. The modern, wood-covered surfaces tie in well with the artwork and designer pieces of furniture from Italian firms, creating an environment of elegant luxury, both in the reception area and in the 86 rooms (single- and two-bed and suites), which share the main building’s three levels and a smaller communicating adjacent building. Cutting-edge equipment is visible in all rooms, which are furnished with unique pieces and leather armchairs in pastel shades. Chefs Alexandros Charalambopoulos and Theodoros Karinos have won a Greek Cuisine Award for the modern cuisine they offer in the hotel’s all-day restaurant “Kastri Bistro”.
