Alpha Guide's evaluation

The chef plays with great ease between soybeans, sundried tomatoes, classic French sauces, aromatic herbs, prosciutto and wine and highlights expensive materials, such as lobster, shrimp and fillet. The location of the restaurant on the lagoon, in the most beautiful hotel garden of the island, is a plus to the culinary experience.
The "Twelve Islands" is the epitome of the gastronomic experience offered by “Rodos Palace,” Rhodes' flagship hotel, to its guests and, at the same time, one of the best fine dining restaurants on the Island of the Knights. When it gets dark, the elegantly set tables become one with the hotel's beautiful lagoon-style swimming pool and are filled with well-dressed people who enjoy the high-level dishes of the menu that creatively link Greece to the Mediterranean and the rest of the world. The appetizers reflect the modern philosophy of the cuisine with suggestions such as the "Greek salad" with cherry tomatoes, pickled cucumber, caper, dehydrated olives and feta cheese; the “artichoke cream” with potato chips, olive oil with dill and parmesan biscuit; and the "beetroot carpaccio" with pistachio pesto, salad and cream cheese of Domokos. Those who love the creative seafood cuisine will choose among exciting dishes such as the fish soup, the sea bass that is marinated in hibiscus juice; the fried calamari with white “taramosalata” and lemon jelly; and the marinated fillet of tuna with lime and chili, quinoa and spicy popcorn. The duck fillet with carrot puree and soy sauce glaze with cardamom; the veal fillet with celeriac puree, sweet chanterelles, and green apple; and the braised veal tail with tomato, red wine, and fluffy mushroom cream are some further options that will fully satisfy meat lovers. The high-quality gastronomic experience at the "Twelve Islands" is complemented by desserts such as the “lemon cream” and the “three-texture chocolate.”
