Alpha Guide's evaluation
The peculiarity of the renowned company’s third hotel lies in the fact that it shares the same premises with the already existing Kolonaki retail store, which is, at the same time, an extension of the lobby. Its core, however, is an old block of flats – a symbol of Athenian modernism -, which was completely reconstructed with a unique architectural perspective. Cedar sliding panels filter the view of the “Boulevard” front rooms to the main street while plenty of light is coming through the large windows in the “Urban” rooms on the back side. All – including the “Sleep tight” rooms that look out on an unbuilt space – are comfortable and faithful to the unfussy and back-to-basics luxury advocated by Coco-Mat. Breakfast and light meals are served at the Honesty Bar, next to the “hidden” waterfall.
